Periscope Holdings Inc. is a technology company that focuses on procurement solutions for the public sector. They aim to make government procurement more efficient and accessible, facilitating better vendor management and compliance with procurement regulations.

Procurement transformation solutions

Periscope, a B2B e-Procurement software company based in Austin, Texas, was operating off of a low-converting, non-responsive website. They needed a new site to help customers streamline their purchasing processes, improve transparency, and achieve cost savings.

Making e-procurement streamline and comprehensive

For Buyers, Periscope offers an eProcurement software suite, BuySpeed™, holds the exclusive license to maintain, enhance, and market the NIGP Commodity/Services Code, and manages the NIGP Consulting Program.

For Suppliers, they offer government bid notifications, spend analytics tools and proposal writing services. The Periscope Supplier Network helps connect buyers with suppliers thru tools that match solicitation requirements to supplier profiles, increase the visibility of matched solicitations, and make it easier for suppliers to respond. In order to properly combine three brands into one, responsive site, we built Periscope's website on Craft CMS and included redirects so the brand could retain their SEO value.

Sub-brand development

Having just acquired a new software company, Periscope Holdings needed a way to efficiently combine their existing programs with their new subsidiary under one unified brand. Periscope is a multifaceted brand that requires considerable logo development and marketing materials. Each sub-brand design is given a unique feel that aligns with the new Periscope brand guidelines.

MDF Commerce, a Canadian e-commerce technology company, acquired Periscope Holdings in September 2021. Periscope Holdings' expertise in procurement solutions for government agencies complemented MDF Commerce's existing portfolio of e-commerce and supply chain solutions. This merger required a facelift for the Periscope brand to align it with MDF Commerce’s brand guidelines and Masonry was there to help.

Drawing inspiration from MDF Commerce's established visual language, we carefully crafted a refreshed brand identity that seamlessly integrated elements of Periscope Holdings' legacy with the dynamic essence of MDF Commerce.

Throughout the process, we remained attentive to feedback from stakeholders, iterating on designs to ensure alignment with their evolving vision. In doing so, we not only achieved a successful rebranding but also forged a cohesive brand narrative that resonated with audiences, laying a strong foundation for Periscope powered by MDF Commerce's future success.

Transformative impact

Our rebranding of Periscope yielded remarkable web traffic boost. Upon go-live, web traffic increased from 1,519 to 6,460 average daily visits after one month. Over three months, Periscope saw 228,463 pageviews from 76,800 users, and conversions rose 167%.
