The Madrone logo is meant to be a simple visual with multiple messages. There is the obvious interlocking M’s for Madrone Mountain. These form the mountain range across the top, where the best coffee is produced. The drip at the bottom notes the drip process involved in coffee making, while the abstract upwards pointing arrows speak to the optimism of the brand and energizing kick that you’ll get with every sip.
The website includes a quiz that users can take to help them decide which coffee blend is right for them.
A major part of the brand is the packaging. This is often the first interaction with a brand that a customer will have, and it was important that the bags stand out on the shelves. The bold red, black and white color combinations are eye catching, while the subtle illustrated madrone tree in the background adds a touch of quality.
