Where are you from and how did you end up in Austin?
I’m originally from central Illinois. I moved to Austin to pursue music with my best friend, Mitch and haven’t looked back!
What is your favorite thing to do in Austin?
This is a tricky one. Going to Barton Creek, setting up a hammock, and just relaxing is tough to beat. However, if anything can contend, it’s playing shows around town with my band. Bos Grunniens, forever!
What generally makes you feel accomplished at the end of the day?
A nice recap of the work that I’ve done each day. Going through and consuming the content that I’ve helped develop is the cherry on top of a hard day’s work
What would your dream project be?
If there was a possibility to work on a platform that promotes local musicians and helps them garner shows based on their intrigue, I’d be there in a heartbeat.
Oh, and making a card game. That would be just as magical.
What is your favorite Austin hangout / best place to get a drink?
Oh, Radio for sure. This place has done wonders for me. The atmosphere is exceptional, the people are fantastic, and comedy nights are always stellar.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Grilled cheese is the only answer.
Craziest celebrity encounter you’ve ever experienced?
Ordering a drink at SXSW and realizing that Remi Wolf was right behind me. We ended up both getting the same thing so we’re pretty much the same exact person.
What album is on repeat for you right now?
I can’t get enough of ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ by Little Simz.
What’s the best advice you have ever received?
Be yourself.
What's on your top 5 movie list?
This question is a bit unfair but, alas, I’ll answer:
- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
- Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
- Sh*thouse
- Akira
- The Darjeeling Limited
